3 Things To Do In January

1. Set marketing goals. What new market do you want to reach this year? What niche do you want to get more of? Do you want to make changes to your current marketing collateral? Write it down.

2. Establish what worked. If you have tracked the results of your projects, it will be easy to determine what media and marketing projects are worth repeating. If you haven’t tracked, now’s the time to start. (see last issue’s article on Tracking)

3. Set a marketing budget. Earmark funds so that you can repeat the successful media and projects. Many companies set an annual budget, but if that’s too long-term for you right now, set a quarterly budget.

4. Set a schedule. Decide which months need the most help to bring in business, when certain products peak, etc to help you determine when to run advertising and promotions. Put it in writing and make it happen.
